  • What does creating positive impact mean to you? Making impact is about people and our planet. To me, the scale comes second. If you can make a true difference for 1 person or 1 place, you create positive impact. Of course, you can do smart things to increase and scale this impact. For me personally, impact is about inspiring people, touching their hearts. When I inspire people to “level up”, to act on anything that is important, then I have made positive impact!

  • How do you create impact with the clients of BMI? In my projects, I always try to impact the end user: the customer of our customer. They are ultimately what matters to me. We try to help people, to make their lives better, to create value in any way! I do this by providing our customers with the right tools, by taking them through our business design process. In a large project, for example, we are working to make it easier for everyone to realize their own dream home!

  • Describe your workday in three words? Unpredictable, challenging, inspiring.

  • What does creating positive impact mean to you? Creating real value for all different stakeholders in a scalable way to reach the many. That doesn’t just happen of course, it implies novel ideas are created that are implemented to create that value. More importantly testing these ideas to start your learning journey to improve and optimize these ideas or in some cases walk away from them to prevent possible negative effects.
  • How do you create impact with the clients of BMI? It always takes a team of people that want to make a difference to envision & co-create the future. Some of the things I love to do:
    • Design new business models & value propositions
    • Deep dive to understand the needs & challenges of different stakeholders
    • Run dozen of experiments to learn and understand if we can make it work!
    • Build as many prototypes needed
  • Describe your workday in three words? Let’s keep the start-up spirit here since at the end of the day it’s all about: Get-shit-done

  • What does creating positive impact mean to you? I want to make a difference in my surroundings by being more conscious and creating an impact on what I can influence.
  • How do you create impact with the clients of BMI? We have the opportunity to challenge our clients and let them think about future value creation instead of their day-to-day activities. I create impact with clients by inspiring them with stories of companies we have researched and challenging them through asking questions and having strategic conversations.

  • How do you create impact with the clients of BMI? We help clients to define their role and impact in the future, design their business and test new value in the market with them. • What does creating positive impact mean to you? To me, creating positive impact is about the search for, and realization of, innovative businesses that contribute to better lives on a better planet. At the same time, it is also about the positive impact I want to have on the people I work with along the process of making innovative concepts a reality.
  • How do you create impact with the clients of BMI? What I like most is transitioning from the conceptual strategic phase into the tangible get-shit-done phase at lightning speed. While a solid strategic fundament is crucial for creating long-term results, real positive impact is only made when a newly designed concept actually touches the lives of people in the real world. Blowing away clients and partners with the power to execute helps to create energy and momentum for accelerating a successful go-to-market.
  • Describe your workday in three words? Versatile, fast-paced, fun!

Niki Seelen

  • What does creating positive impact mean to you? Positive impact for me is creating the change you want to see in the world around you. Everyday, we are trying to find solutions to world’s biggest problems by creating business that go beyond profit, and equally value our society and our planet.
  • How do you create impact with the clients of BMI? Together with clients we envision a bright future and design possible new business models and value propositions. I think it is magical how we then make these ideas tangible through prototypes and kill them when we find out they are not desirable, feasible or viable. Then the entire journey starts again. If you do it together with the right people, the journey is as fun as getting the results you were hoping for.
  • Describe your workday in three words? Creative, Chaotic, but oh so satisfying.

Excited to become a changemaker too?
