£10m Leverhulme Award Catalysed by Breakthrough Event with Business Models Inc.

Joseph Ellis said that ‘Washington’s task was to transform the improbable into the inevitable’ and this is what Business Models Inc have done for our project. Ideas can be wonderful and endearing ephemeral flights of fancy with no burdensome responsibility but once they start to take form and reality tarnishes the sparkle – then they no longer hold either the imagination or the magic. Doug and Duncan not only held our reality in check throughout our journey but they fed our imagination and our confidence so that the prospect for the reality is still a true mirrored reflection of that first early dream. That is true wizardry. We are indebted to Business Models Inc for their inspiration, their patience their professionalism and their friendship. Who would ever have thought to put business modellers in a room with academics, scientists and lawyers – we did - and what a simply splendid joy it has been.
